Full-time Program Counselor
PROGRAM COUNSELOR
This position is for a licensed clinician (Texas license) to provide individual, family, and group counseling to our participants as well as aid in the development and function of Ransomed Life mentors.
COUNSELOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides hybrid (telehealth and in-person) counseling, psychoeducation, and appropriate to the position case management to clients in individual, family, and group therapeutic settings
Manage a case load size of a minimum 14 clients; part-time case load size varies based on hours worked
Provide crisis intervention through supportive care and/or referral for needs
Develop and/or facilitate groups for participating adolescents, guardians, and Ransomed Life mentors as needed
Maintain comprehensive HIPAA compliant counseling files, treatment plans, service activities, case notes, and electronic devices used for sending and/or receiving PHI of clients
Utilize Commercial Sexual Exploitation Identification Tool along with other appropriate assessment tools for measuring clients needs or therapeutic services
Create an anti-racist space for clients while incorporating multicultural competencies and awareness
Collaborate with partnering agencies regarding the treatment, well-being, and functioning of assigned clients
Gather data for submitting quarterly reports
Adhere to the guidelines as court mandated reporter while upholding ethical guidelines, federal privacy laws, and licensure laws
