No cost to the family! At RL, we want our services to be accessible to everyone that needs the help. We have generous donors, grants & foundations to help scholarship the cost of counseling for each family.

No! RL works with both at-risk and those that have been confirmed to have experienced trafficking or exploitation.

There is no timeline or deadline for counseling services. Counseling sessions are offered as long as clients – and their families – need help. We know that trauma is not a linier healing process and can take time. RL is willing to help as long as counseling goals are still being set.

Each trafficking and exploitation experiences is different. Some common risk factors that may put a youth at a higher risk to exploitation are: low self-esteem, mental health struggles, sexting, frequent absences from school, running away, substance abuse, teen dating violence, domestic violence, sexual trauma, and involvement in juvenile justice or child protective services.

Each counselor works directly with the client to determine the best fit for the client’s counseling frequency. Most clients are seen once a week for a 30–50-minute individual counseling session. However, this frequency could be changed to twice a week, every other week, or once a month depending on the client’s therapeutic needs.

Modalities include but not limited to: Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Sound Therapy, Narrative Therapy, MRI Strategic Family Therapy, Collaborate Therapy, Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Christian Counseling.

RL offers both telehealth and in-person services! Majority of our counseling is via telehealth, but we offer both.

To obtain a copy of a client’s file, the client and/or guardian must provide a written request to Ransomed Life. Ransomed Life is required to provide you access and/or copies of your health record within 15 business days of your request, unless access would not be ethically appropriate. If access to your records would violate ethical rules, Ransomed Life will provide you with a signed response of the denial.
